This is a MIX of Hickory Pecan and Cherry Sawdust in a 1LB BAG about 1-3oz over. Sawdust can be used for hot or cold smoking and produces a nice, rich flavor and even smoke. However, sawdust offers less heat than chips or pellets. That's why it is used in cold smoking products. Sawdust is often used for cold smoking sausage, fish and various meat cuts. Add some damp sawdust in foil, and wrap. Poke some holes that will allow the smoke to escape and penetrate your meat, and you can enjoy smoked flavors of any type of grill you use. All THIS SAWDUST IS COLLECTED FROM A VAC SYSTEM WHEN I CUT MY WOOD CHUNKS UP. All this is about 95% clean without bark. Almost all my wood is clean of bark before I cut it up. Keep in mind If you are less experienced, be sure to do some research and preparation before beginning the smoking process.
